“You’re running around, stealing cars, shooting up bad guys. What’s not to like?”

Avenge Your Brother’s Murder & Stay Alive in Riskers
Now available on Steam for only $7.49
MONTREAL – Oct. 17, 2017 – Published by M4 and developed by Shot X Studio, the top-down 2D shooter Riskers can now be purchased on Steam! Experience a sordid tale of revenge merging brutal gunplay and reckless driving in this nostalgic nod to two of the best top-down shooters in recent history: the original Grand Theft Auto (1997) and Hotline Miami (2012).
In Riskers, you take on the role of ex-con-turned-lowly-garbageman Rick Paradis. After finding a briefcase filled with money and deciding to keep the cash, Rick must now fight to survive as he is hunted down by thugs out to get what is rightfully theirs. Things quickly take a personal turn as Rick’s brother becomes a casualty. He must now make things right – even if it means breaking the law once again.
Choose from a an arsenal of weapons including shotguns, pistols, automatic rifles, and sniper rifles. No ammo? No problem! When all else fails, you can pick up chairs and throw them at enemies to slow them down a notch. If stealth is the name of the game, it’s time to slip into darkness – thanks to the game’s day and night cycles.
Tackle the main storyline and enjoy comic book-style cutscenes – or delve into a variety of side missions. The choice is yours in the open world of Riskers.
“Riskers pays homage to the types of games I used to play while growing up in Georgia (the country, not the state),” says Shota Bobokhidze, lead developer, Shot X Studios. “My main design pillar was to give players enough gameplay variety to cater to most play styles. Riskers is a game for everyone – whether you enjoy racing or shooting bad guys.”
“It takes a tremendous amount of effort to design and ship a game on your own,” adds Jeff Giasson, founder and CEO at M4. “M4 is more than happy to support daring developers like Shota Bobokhidze – who knew the odds and still charged ahead to make their childhood dream a reality.”

About Shot X Studio
Founded in 2016 by Shota Bobokhidze, Shot X Studio is a one-man company based in Tbilisi – the capital of Georgia. As a child, Shota dreamed of having his drawings and ideas come to life in the form of video games. At age 12, he came across Game Maker and was amazed by its capabilities. Game development soon became a passion, and Shota quickly latched onto Game Maker as the perfect 2D game engine – creating a variety of prototypes along the way. Out of this came Riskers, which is Shota’s first game. To learn more about Shot X Studio and Riskers, please visit http://shotxstudio.com.
